Are you willing to operate machinery safely and see the success of an exciting industry?Martin Marietta is currently looking for a Heavy Equipment Operator at Huntsville Quarry in Huntsville, MO. This position is responsible for safely operating heavy equipment to move material within the plant.Key Duties and Responsibilities:Participate in safety programs and trainings, promoting Martin Marietta's Guardian Angel culture Inspect equipment for signs of wear Perform basic maintenance on heavy mobile equipment Work in a team environment Clean work areas Maneuver trucks into loading or unloading positions Proper wear of personal protective equipment Notify supervisors of repairs needed Ensure materials are properly loaded according to safety requirements Assist in plant maintenance and repairs Perform duties with minimum supervisionQualifications:Required Education and Experience:High school diploma, GED or equivalent1+ years of related experienceValid US driver's licenseSkills:Ability to work with minimal supervisionKnowledge of MSHA regulationsEffective verbal communicationKnowledge of machines and tools including their design, use and maintenancePhysical Abilities:Ability to work in an outdoor environment year-roundGeneral physical activities include climbing stairs and ladders, lifting, pushing, pulling, stooping, reach with hands and arms, and handling materialAdditional Information:In addition to the primary responsibilities outlined, the successful candidate may be expected to take on other tasks and assignments as required, including but not limited to duties outside the typical scope of the role to support overall team operations and organizational needs.
