Lead Shift Supervisor

Our client, a leader in the heavy industrial recycling sector, is seeking a dedicated Lead Shift Supervisor to join their team. As a Lead Shift Supervisor, you will be an integral part of the operations team supporting the production floor. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, excellent communication skills, and a proactive approach to safety and efficiency, which will align successfully in the organization.

Job Title: Lead Shift Supervisor

Location: Fort Lauderdale, FL

Pay Range: $29/hour

Shift: 5:00 am to 3:30 pm or 8:30 am to 7:00 pm

What's the Job?

• Lead co-workers by managing schedules, providing training, and ensuring productivity and discipline
• Oversee daily production schedules and monitor the production floor activities
• Facilitate morning meetings covering safety topics, inbound/outbound loads, and production updates
• Assist operators to optimize equipment efficiency and throughput
• Maintain quality systems in compliance with customer specifications and promote a strong safety culture

What's Needed?

• High school diploma or G.E.D. required
• Leadership abilities and experience managing a team preferred
• Forklift operation experience is required
• Basic computer skills (Microsoft Excel, Outlook, etc.)
• Ability to read and interpret safety rules and training materials
