Are you an experienced insurance professional who enjoys building relationships, helping clients understand their coverage, and identifying opportunities to better protect what matters most?

We’re looking for a motivated  Personal Lines Account Manager to join a growing Farmers Insurance agency in Oakland. This role offers a balance of  client service, account management, retention, and sales , giving you the opportunity to support existing clients while also helping grow agency relationships.

About the Role

As a  Personal Lines Account Manager , you’ll work directly with both new and existing clients to support their insurance needs across Personal Lines products such as  Auto, Home, and related coverages .

You’ll assist with policy servicing, renewals, billing questions, and coverage needs while proactively identifying opportunities to strengthen client relationships and grow accounts.

This position is ideal for someone who enjoys building long-term relationships, takes ownership of client follow-up, and is comfortable balancing service responsibilities with sales and retention goals.

What You’ll Do

• Build and maintain strong relationships with new and existing clients
• Identify client insurance needs and recommend appropriate Personal Lines coverage solutions
• Assist clients with policy changes, renewals, billing questions, and general account servicing
• Make outbound follow-up calls to clients and prospective customers
• Proactively identify opportunities to strengthen coverage and expand client relationships
• Support new business, retention, and account growth goals through consistent client contact
• Maintain strong knowledge of  Auto, Home, and other Personal Lines insurance products
• Clearly explain coverage options and help clients make informed insurance decisions
• Accurately document client interactions, policy updates, and follow-up activity within agency systems
• Maintain organized client records and manage multiple priorities effectively
• Work collaboratively with agency team members to provide a responsive and professional client experience

What You’ll Bring

• Active California Property & Casualty license required
• High school diploma or equivalent required
• Previous insurance, account management, customer service, or sales experience preferred
• Strong client service and relationship-building skills
• Sales-driven mindset with motivation to achieve established goals
• Clear and professional verbal and written communication skills
• Confidence making outbound calls and following up consistently with clients
• Strong organizational and time-management abilities
• Ability to manage multiple accounts and priorities while maintaining attention to detail
• Self-motivated and able to work independently
• Collaborative and comfortable working as part of a team
• Proficiency with Windows, Microsoft Office, and general computer systems
• Bilingual Spanish preferred
