Registered Nurse - Post Surgical PACU

Role Overview: An experienced nurse practicing independently in a clinical setting, providing both routine and complex patient care, and developing long-term care strategies. Responsible for assessing, diagnosing, planning, implementing, and evaluating patient needs according to professional standards. Key Responsibilities Deliver nursing care utilizing the nursing process, addressing psychological, emotional, cultural, and social needs of patients and families. Administer medications and treatments following protocols, monitoring for side effects and effectiveness. Document patient history, symptoms, medication, and care activities accurately. Assess educational needs and provide information to patients, families, and caregivers, identifying resources and issues. Delegate tasks appropriately to care team members to manage clinical situations effectively. Qualifications & Skills Bachelor of Science in Nursing preferred. Minimum of 1 year of nursing experience in a related specialty preferred. Current RN license in the state of employment or a compact license. Required certifications include BLS, ACLS, and PALS. Completion of onboarding, competency validations, and annual requirements. Additional Information Candidates should have recent perioperative or OR experience, with training in neonatal resuscitation, fetal monitoring, or trauma care preferred.
