About the Position

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN Specialty: Med Surg Duration: 13 Weeks Shift: 07:00 - 19:00 Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS Must-Have: Advanced skills in caring for general Med Surg patients Experience in bedside shift reporting and safety rounding Description: Traveler shall be scheduled in accordance with facility policy. Expected to work every other weekend and holidays in rotation with hospital employees. 1+ years of consecutive working experience is acceptable. Unit has a total of 24 beds. Patient ratios are 1:6. Unit staffing includes a Unit Secretary on the day shift and Patient Care Technicians with ratios of 1:8 or 1:12. Equipped with standard hospital equipment. Documentation system utilized is Meditech Expanse. Scheduling requirements include working 2 weekends per month. Floating policy allows for floating to other Med Surg units, Emergency Department to care for Med Surg holds, or to ICU/PCU to care for Med Surg level patients. Bedside shift report and safety rounding are required for patient experience. Dress code requires navy blue uniforms. Unit guidelines and policies should be attached.
