Vanderbilt's mission is to advance health and wellness through preeminent programs in patient care, education, and research.Job Summary:Performs ultrasound procedures in accordance with established departmental policies and procedures to ensure the best possible patient care services are delivered.Shift Info:Two years of experience required.MFM experience preferred.Key Responsibilities:Reviews radiology exam requests and patient identification to ensure safe, appropriate and cost effective imaging.Applies broad range of skills to ensure exam is completed timely and meets quality and compliance standards.Provides appropriate Diagnostic Sonographer screening process to patients, staff and self according to prescribed safety standards.Assists in the orientation and training of new staff.The responsibilities listed are a general overview of the position and additional duties may be assigned.Technical Capabilities:Compliance: Can explain and apply basic statutory instructions in normal situations on the job.
