About the Role
Join Our Team as a Tool and Die Maker! West Coast Aerospace is seeking a skilled Tool and Die Maker in Rancho Dominguez, CA. As a leading manufacturer and supplier of standard and oversize parts for military and commercial aircraft, we offer a fast-paced work environment with opportunities for growth and development.

Daily Responsibilities

• Operate manual machining equipment
• Perform machine operations, including surface grinding and milling
• Conduct precision measurements

Required Skills

Die Making — On-Size Header Dies

• Turning ID & OD on manual lathe
• Pressing carbide into sleeve
• Turning ID, angles, relief, and radiuses to print tolerance
• Assembling and disassembling header dies
• Re-working dies to meet part spec
• On-size die making for header dies

Hammer & Stamp Making

• Mechanical and CNC engraving for hammers and stamps, including but not limited to flat, button, and dome heads
• Set up and operate EDM machines for hammers, stamps, and other tooling such as breathing holes and fixtures
• Set up and operate lathes
• Other tooling: knockout pins, dimples, fingers, etc.

Other Skills

• Good organizational skills
• Computer proficient
• Knowledge of cold and hot forming headers
• Excellent social and communication skills

Nice to Have Skills

• Experience with surface grinding techniques
• Familiarity with G-code programming for CNC machines
• Knowledge of punch press and drill press operations
• Experience with tool design and precision measurement

Qualifications  (commonly expected but missing — add specifics)

• Experience as a Tool and Die Maker, ideally in aerospace or precision manufacturing
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints and engineering drawings

Physical Requirements  (missing — standard for manufacturing roles)

• Ability to lift 30lbs stand for extended periods, and work in a shop environment
• Use of PPE as required

 

Salary and Benefits
Competitive salary ranging from $70,000 to $110,000 annually, based on experience. Comprehensive benefits package includes health insurance, life insurance, dental insurance, vision insurance, 401(k) options, vacation leave, sick leave, holiday pay, and paid time off.
