Locum - Physician - Otolaryngology - Fort Collins, CO

Job Description


Shift Description: M-F 8a-5p
On Call Requirements: 7a-7a daily
• Board Certified (ABMS/AOA) Otolaryngology - REQUIRED (can accept truly board eligible within 2 years of residency)
• BLS, ACLS - REQUIRED
• Local Provider - highly preferred
looking for a Locums Otolaryngologist to cover up to 2 WEEKENDS per month!
• Weekend practice call coverage (Fri 7a - Mon 7a)
• 2 weekends per month (split with another provider)
• Mon-Fri coverage not currently needed, but may change in the future.
• Practice Percentage: Adult - 95%; Pediatric - 5%; Office/Clinic - 75%; Hospital - 25%; Non-surgical - 50%; Surgical - 50%
• Average number of office/clinic patients per physician per day: 18; Scheduled - 18; Add-ons - 2-3; Surgeries - 7/week
• Average number of hospital patients per physician per day: 0-3; Admissions - 0-1; ICU - 0; Surgeries - 3-4
• Number of physicians in practice: 1; Mid-levels - 1
• In Person v. consult over phone (will require covering provider to be local in the event they need to present at the hospital for urgent established patient issues)
• EMR: EPIC (office/clinic & hospital)

• General otolaryngology - surgical & non-surgical
• Endoscopic procedures - septal, sinus, bronchoscopy (flexible), Laryngoscopy
• Tracheotomy


Preferred Procedures:
• Facial reconstruction
Other Requirements:
• Should be comfortable managing all general ENT post op care and questions including sinus, otologic, endocrine, H&N.
