Step into a dynamic contract role serving students as a full-time Occupational Therapist in the Minneapolis, MN area. This assignment offers the unique opportunity to provide essential occupational therapy services to students, filling both maternity leave coverage and a full-time replacement through the end of the 2026-2027 school year. You’ll play a pivotal role in helping students build skills for academic and daily life success, collaborating closely with staff, parents, and interdisciplinary teams.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Occupational Therapist licensure in Minnesota (required)
- Prior experience working in a school-based setting is highly desirable
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Capacity to adapt services to meet diverse student needs
- Eagerness to work full-time, providing consistent support over an extended period
Role Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and develop individualized intervention plans for students
- Deliver direct therapy services within classrooms and one-on-one settings
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student IEP goals
- Maintain timely documentation, progress monitoring, and data collection
- Adapt and customize student supports, equipment, and strategies
- Provide professional input during IEP meetings and contribute to ongoing student programming
- Engage in school-related events and team meetings as needed
