maman is a french bakery, café and leading lifestyle brand founded in 2014 by owners elisa marshall & benjamin sormonte, with locations across north america and canada. inspired by family traditions, and the highest quality ingredients, maman offers a selection of delicious baked goods {including their famous nutty chocolate chip cookie}, coffee, fresh breakfast, and lunch options spanning from hearty salads & sandwiches to savory quiches. in addition to hosting intimate events, maman has partnered with leading brands for partnerships and activations. from baby showers and birthday parties to engagements, we’re able to help celebrate customers & make new beautiful memories. in september 2021, maman founders elisa marshall & benjamin sormonte released the highly anticipated maman: the cookbook.

Position Summary
The Server plays a vital role in creating a welcoming, efficient, and high-quality guest experience. This position supports front-of-house operations by providing attentive service, maintaining clean and organized spaces, and assisting both FOH and BOH teams to ensure smooth daily operations. Servers are expected to represent our brand with professionalism, warmth, and enthusiasm, especially during busy service periods and weekends.
Essential Responsibilities
Guest Experience & Service
Run food orders to tables and ensure timely, accurate delivery.
On weekends, preset tables, take guest orders, upsell thoughtfully, and recommend best-selling items.
Use the Toast POS system and handheld devices to accurately ring in orders and support efficient counter service.
Investigate and resolve guest concerns with the support of the leader on shift, always prioritizing a positive guest experience.
Cleanliness & Organization
Maintain cleanliness across all guest-facing and team areas, including clearing dirty cups, fallen napkins, and general upkeep throughout the shift.
Ensure service stations are clean, stocked, and organized, including emptying trash and relining bins.
Assist with hourly restroom checks to confirm bathrooms are clean, safe, and fully stocked (toilet paper, soap, trash removal, clean sinks and toilets).
Notify the General Manager of any equipment or supply needs, such as bins, dispensers, sinks, or changing mats.
Team Support & Operations
Bus items back to the BOH and assist with bussing tubs during peak service times to support smooth operations.
Assist with managing and reviewing Orders Hub as needed.
Replenish water and cutlery stations throughout service.
Assist with restocking duties at the end of each shift using the closing checklist.
Work collaboratively with both FOH and BOH teams to maintain high service standards.
Perform additional tasks and ad hoc projects as assigned to support daily operations.
Qualifications
Required:
Previous serving or front-of-house experience in a hospitality or food service environment.
Strong communication and customer service skills.
Ability to multitask and remain organized in a fast-paced environment.
Commitment to cleanliness, quality, and delivering an exceptional guest experience.
Availability to work a flexible schedule, including weekends, holidays, and special events according to business needs.
Ability to stand for extended periods and perform light physical tasks (lifting, bussing, restocking).
Preferred:
Experience using Toast POS or similar point-of-sale systems.
Familiarity with high-volume or fast-casual dining environments.
A proactive mindset with the ability to anticipate guest and team needs.
A positive attitude, strong sense of humor, and ability to contribute to a fun, team-oriented culture.
Passion for hospitality and a sweet tooth for cookies is a plus.
