Location Orlando, FL (Hybrid, 3 days onsite) About the job you’re considering Capgemini is seeking a Java Backend Developer with expertise in building reactive microservices using Java 17, Spring Boot, and Spring WebFlux. This role requires strong experience in REST API development, microservices architecture, and modern DevOps practices including Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD pipelines. As a senior developer, you will perform code reviews, guide development teams, and ensure implementation of clean code and design principles while leveraging tools like JUnit, Mockito, and SonarQube for quality assurance. You will work across cloud environments (AWS/GCP), implement secure and scalable solutions with Spring Security, and enable observability using tools like Prometheus and Grafana to deliver high‑performing enterprise applications. Key Responsibilities Perform code reviews and provide technical guidance to the development team Design and develop REST APIs using Spring Controllers Implement robust error handling frameworks Build and maintain microservices‑based architectures Ensure adherence to clean code practices and design principles (SOLID, DRY, etc.) Technical Requirements Java 17 Spring Boot 3.5 Spring WebFlux (Reactive Programming – Mandatory) Testing & Quality Assurance JUnit 5 Mockito WebTestClient (for reactive application testing) Code quality tools such as SonarQube Database & Build Tools MariaDB R2DBC PostgreSQL Maven GitHub DevOps & Cloud Docker Kubernetes Harness (CI/CD pipelines) Cloud exposure: AWS / GCP Security & API Documentation Spring Security (Reactive) OpenAPI / Swagger Monitoring & Observability Prometheus Grafana Compensation Range The base compensation range for this role in the posted location is $68, 911 to $ 161, 544.
