Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting (US Holdings)

Context & Environment Purposes: The Senior Accountant - Financial Reporting (US Holdings) position requires strong prioritization skills, analytical judgment, and the ability to manage complex reporting and accounting matters across multiple U.S. Holding entities and business lines. The position supports recurring monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting cycles while also contributing to special projects and time-sensitive initiatives as needed. The incumbent will collaborate closely with a broad range of stakeholders, including external auditors, local accounting managers, global branch consolidation teams, U.S. affiliate finance teams, and senior management to ensure accurate, timely, and compliant financial reporting. Activities Activities:
- Prepare monthly, quarterly, and annual financial reporting for U.S. Holding entities, ensuring accuracy, integrity, and timely submission in accordance with Company reporting requirements and accounting rules.
- Support in the consolidation of U.S. Holding entities as part of the annual U.S. Consolidated IFRS financial statements, including liaison with HQ Holdings Finance, U.S. Treasury, U.S. Tax, and affiliates for top-side adjustments and related disclosure footnotes.
- Support the preparation of monthly and quarterly U.S. Holdings financial reviews with HQ Holdings Finance and Senior Management.
- Execute monthly ledger postings and reconciliations for affiliate flows and intercompany loan interest, validating transactions through Quantum TMS.
- Support governmental reporting requirements for TEHUSA, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.
- Assist with inquiries from the external audit team and contribute to the development of the Company's best practices.
- Ensure adherence to the Company's Internal Control Framework, accounting procedures, and related governance requirements.
- Support ad hoc requests, special initiatives, and finance-related projects throughout the year, as required.
- TEAS Shared Service Champion - promote and strive for the best service possible for the TotalEnergies US entities that are under the direct TEAS shared service agreement.
- Ensure U.S. Holding entities monthly accounting close activities, financial reviews, and governmental reporting requirements are completed accurately and on time.
- Support external auditors and U.S. Consolidation team for audit coordination, key disclosure footnotes for U.S. Holding entities and continuous improvement of Company reporting and control practices.
- Support finance projects and transactions, including dispositions, acquisitions, new accounting pronouncements, IT implementation and other ad hoc initiatives throughout the year.
- Bachelor's or equivalent level
- Minimum of 3 years in Accounting and/or Finance
- CPA preferred but not required.
- SAP
- Microsoft Office products
- Power BI and PowerApps a plus and
- Ability to use systems such as Quantum TMS and online banking platforms a plus
- Highly analytical with strong attention to detail;
- Critical thinking with problem solving skills;
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team
- Ability to work well under pressureand balance multiple priorities to meet deadlines;
- Ability to challenge and identify improvement opportunities.
- Must be very customer focused and work with cross-functional teams amongst the organization.
- Fluent English required; French language skills a plus.
- Knowledge of IFRS and/or U.S. GAAP, experience with SOX compliance, internal controls, consolidation, audits and financial statement preparation including disclosure footnotes.
