Groundsperson: Priceville, AL

The Groundsperson supports the crew by performing work from the ground including clearing brush and trees as directed, and performing clean-up on each job site. Essential functions include following and helping enforce safe practices and rules, keeping work area clear of debris, and using various tools to cut brush and trees. The role also involves loading and unloading trucks, performing general clean-up of job sites, and driving trucks or operating other equipment as assigned. Basic maintenance service on trucks and equipment is also required. The position demands physical strength, the ability to work outdoors under varying weather conditions, and the ability to obtain and maintain first-aid certification and CPR. The job requires the ability to wear necessary personal protective equipment (PPE), comprehend verbal job instructions, and maintain balance over uneven terrain. The position also requires the ability to communicate with others and have endurance to perform duties throughout a standard eight or ten hour day. The role involves operating and servicing all required tools and equipment and traveling out of town for storm restoration work when needed.
