Surgile Services - Sterile Processing Technician

This position is for a Sterile Processing Technician. Shifts are from 3 PM to 11:30 PM and 11 PM to 7:30 AM. The types of cases required include Spine, Neuro, Ortho, Eye, ENT, GYN, Urology, Davinci, Plastics, and Vascular. The facility has 43 operating rooms. A minimum of 2 years of experience is required. First-time candidates are not accepted. Weekend work is required based on department needs. On-call work is not required. Candidates will not float within the scope to meet facility needs. Open block scheduling is not accommodated. Travelers must apply for a state license if necessary. There are no restrictions on time off, but requests should not exceed five days. The client may cancel up to three shifts without any penalty to the staffing agency. Required skills include sterilization and decontamination processes. Experience in instrument/tray reprocessing for various specialties is necessary. Candidates must possess knowledge of flexible endoscope reprocessing. This is a short-term acute care facility with 672 staffed beds. Scrubs are provided by the unit. Charting is done through specific hospital systems. No references will be provided by the facility post-assignment. Candidates must be aware of compliance and background check requirements. Modules for pre-start training will need to be completed to ensure proper onboarding.
