Sub Custodian

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented SUBSTITUTE Custodian to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for maintaining cleanliness and orderliness in various facilities, ensuring a safe and welcoming environment for all occupants. This role requires a proactive approach to custodial duties, with an emphasis on quality and efficiency. Duties Perform routine cleaning tasks including sweeping, mopping, dusting, and vacuuming to maintain cleanliness in assigned areas. Conduct floor care activities such as buffing and polishing to ensure surfaces are well-maintained. Manage waste disposal and recycling efforts to promote a clean and environmentally friendly workspace. Assist with residential painting and minor facilities maintenance tasks as needed. Carry out industrial cleaning procedures in designated areas, ensuring compliance with safety standards. Respond to custodial requests from staff or management promptly and professionally. Monitor supplies and equipment, reporting any maintenance needs or inventory shortages. Maintain outdoor areas by performing light landscaping duties or cleaning walkways as required. Requirements Previous experience in custodial services, commercial cleaning, or facilities maintenance is preferred. Knowledge of proper cleaning techniques and use of cleaning equipment is essential. Ability to perform physical tasks including lifting, bending, and standing for extended periods. Strong attention to detail with a commitment to maintaining high cleanliness standards. Excellent time management skills to prioritize tasks effectively throughout the shift. A positive attitude and ability to work independently or as part of a team are crucial for success in this role.
