The person will be responsible for managing the end-to-end supply chain while ensuring customer requirements and supply chain metrics are attained.As a Production Planning Analyst, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:Managing the supply plan by purchasing raw materials, scheduling production and managing finished good inventory for multiple manufacturing areasCoordinating with other 3M locations, external suppliers, and various business teams to meet service, cost, and inventory targetsProviding a high degree of planning analysis to support data-driven decision makingPublishing and presenting service and inventory metrics, results, and gap analysisParameter Management: optimizing and maintaining production lot sizes, production cycles and safety stocks to deliver the desired balance between inventory and service.Identifying and implementing supply chain process improvement projectsWorking closely with business team to understand customer requirements and forecasts. Work daily with manufacturing team, Supply and Demand planners to determine how best to prioritize and resolve supply constraints and balance service, inventory and cost to meet business targets.Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start)Two (2) years of Supply Chain experience in private, public, government of military environmentAdditional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:Experience with Factory Planner or another MRP or ERP applicationProject management and leadership experienceAPICS CPIM and/or CSCP CertificationCollaborative and interpersonal skills including teaching, coaching, and leading cross-functional teams through projectsExcellent written and oral communication skillsStrong interpersonal skills, including the ability to influence others and work effectively in a team environmentWork location: Onsite at 3M Brownwood, TXTravel: May include up to 5% domesticRelocation Assistance: May be authorizedMust be legally authorized to work in country of employment without sponsorship for employment visa status (e.g., H1B status).Supporting Your Well-being3M offers many programs to help you live your best life – both physically and financially. This range represents a good faith estimate for this position. The specific compensation offered to a candidate may vary based on factors including, but not limited to, the candidate's relevant knowledge, training, skills, work location, and/or experience.
