Senior Casualty Underwriter
Location: Chicago, IL (Hybrid – Minimum 3 days/week onsite)

Job Summary:
General Placement Service is hiring a Senior Casualty Underwriter to join a respected insurance organization. This role is ideal for an experienced, strategic thinker who enjoys working in a collaborative, growth-focused environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Underwrite and manage large deductible, multi-line accounts
Grow a profitable book of business and maintain a strong pipeline
Analyze risk, pricing, and coverage to develop proposals
Build and maintain strong relationships with brokers and clients
Work with internal teams to ensure smooth execution
Support strategy, innovation, and negotiation efforts
Requirements:
5+ years underwriting large deductible or national accounts
Bachelor’s degree in a related field
CPCU designation
Onsite 3 days/week in Chicago

Preferred Skills:

Proven success in production underwriting
Strong leadership, communication, and negotiation skills
Experience mentoring and managing client relationships
