Essential Functions :

1. Directs implementation and execution of manufacturing policies and practices.

1. Monitors output through key indicators and adjusts accordingly.

1. Plans long-term production requirements to include manpower, machine load and additional resources.

1. Oversees and participates in the daily production operations through personal interaction with production employees, floor response to immediate problems, and regular counsel and guidance to manufacturing department supervisors.

1. Participates in the development of production plans with representatives from other departments to ensure that production performance standards meet customer requirements.

1. Works with other Managers regarding product changes, required production needs, production processes and future strategic objectives.

1. Initiates meetings or other communications with other departments regarding the resolution of ongoing problems and the implementation of new procedures or processes or the development of new plans or designs.

1. Participates in the research, development and design of long-range strategic objectives of operations

1. Requisitions outside purchase supplies for related production area.

1. Coordinates with the planning department to ensure accuracy of the daily schedule

1. Must be capable of using Operating Software programs to enter time/payroll information, job information, etc.

1. Oversees all maintenance work order requests for accuracy and appropriateness.

1. Monitors work area to ensure that it is safe. Corrects safety deficiencies or brings them to the attention of Maintenance, Engineering or management as appropriate.

1. Sets standards of good housekeeping in work areas

1. Sets/enforces safety policies and the use of required safety equipment.

1. Remains current with respect to technical and supervisory skills. Maintains familiarity with each piece of production machinery.

1. Establishes performance standards, monitoring employee performance and focusing the Department's attention to areas of opportunity to maximize performance.

1. Assists in the development of personnel through positive reinforcement and coaching techniques.

1. Responsibilities include hiring, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assuring problems are resolved; developing leadership in all people.

Leadership Responsibilities:

1. Establishes performance standards, monitoring employee performance and focusing the Department's attention to areas of opportunity to maximize performance.

1. Maintains ethics and integrity congruent to the Company's mission and values.

1. Assists in the development of personnel through positive reinforcement and coaching techniques.

1. Responsibilities include hiring, planning, assigning and directing work; appraising performance, rewarding and disciplining employees; addressing complaints and assuring problems are resolved; developing leadership in all people.

Education, Experience and Skills Required:

High School Diploma plus 2 to 3 years of production related vocational or equivalent experience. Must have at least six years of progressively responsible experience in a manufacturing environment to include the following skills and abilities:

1. Strong working knowledge of the production manufacturing process and quality requirements in the metal stamping industry.

1. General knowledge of internal accounting controls, and financial analysis of expenditures.

1. Ability to operate general office equipment including manufacturing/production applications and financial spreadsheet and word processing applications on a microcomputer.

1. Management: the ability to organize and manage multiple priorities.

1. Strong inter-personnel skills in order to interact with many cross-functional teams to accomplish the Company manufacturing function.

1. Problem analysis and problem resolution at both a strategic and functional level.

1. Quality orientation and attention to detail.

1. Possess ability to adapt to a high rate of change environment.

1. Decisive leadership and management style, executive presence, knowledge and a practical understanding of the financial aspects of business. Evidence of strong ethical and moral character, and high work ethic standards.

1. Strong communication skills, both oral and written, and effectiveness in expressing complex manufacturing concepts in laymen's terms. The position requires the ability to relate with all personnel.

1. Must be flexible with a willingness to perform the jobs personally as well as through delegation or interaction with others.

1. Ability to work with minimum direction but will understand the importance of clear and effective communication with the VP of Operations, leadership team and others with whom, the position interacts.

Compensation Salary Range: OTC13 $87,988-$131,977. The range for this position is being displayed in compliance with all state and local regulations. Salaries are set based on a number of factors to include an individual's job-related knowledge, skills, experience, and education. This means that no two candidates are alike. Please keep in mind that the range mentioned above is the full base salary range for the role. Hiring at the maximum of the range would not be typical in order to allow for future & continued salary growth. The range provided above does not include additional compensation such as bonus, health benefits, vacation, 401(K) match, etc.
