Contract | 13 Weeks | 36 Hours Per Week Guaranteed | 12-Hour Rotating Day/Night Shifts (7:00 AM–7:00 PM / 7:00 PM–7:00 AM) | Every Other Weekend and Holiday Required | Onsite

Key Responsibilities

• Provide pre- and post-surgical care to adult and geriatric patients on a fast-paced 40-bed inpatient unit
• Manage a patient assignment of 4–5 patients on day/evening shifts and up to 5–7 patients on night shifts
• Support high-volume admissions averaging 10–15 per day, prioritizing care based on patient acuity
• Utilize Epic EMR for all clinical documentation and Alaris pumps and Rovers for medication scanning and administration
• Float to all inpatient units as needed
• Collaborate with the care team to ensure safe, efficient patient throughput with an average length of stay of 2–3 days

Required Qualifications

• Active Wisconsin Registered Nurse (RN) license required
• Current BLS certification through AHA or ARC required
• Minimum 2 years of Medical-Surgical experience with recent hospital experience
• Trauma Level II experience required
• Prior travel nursing experience required
• Proficiency with Epic EMR required

Preferred Experience / Skills

• Experience with post-surgical care following PACU recovery
• Familiarity with Alaris infusion pumps and Rover medication scanning devices
• Demonstrated ability to multitask and prioritize in a high-occupancy (90–95%) inpatient environment
