Regional Safety Sales Specialist

Territory is Corpus Christi- Brownsville- & San Antonio

The Regional Safety Sales Specialist is key to driving market growth and development for safety products within their assigned territory. This role involves both direct sales efforts and collaboration with account managers to expand our reach to existing and prospective customers. Key responsibilities include identifying new opportunities, managing the product portfolio, building strong customer relationships, negotiating, and successfully closing new business to achieve sales and business objectives.
Are You a Match?
Experience & Education:
- Sales: Minimum of five (5) years of successful business development, including outside business-to-business (B2B) sales experience, including a proven track record in solution-selling and managing a defined sales territory.
- Education: Bachelor's degree or equivalent industry sales experience.
- Industry Preference: QSSP & or familiarity in safety supply sales is preferred.
Sales Acumen:
- Ability to apply a consultative sales approach to deliver multiple layers of value to customers and establish a diverse mix of sales solutions and products.
- Demonstrated ability to segment and prioritize customers based on their value to Airgas.
- Leverage deep knowledge of customer businesses, current macro/micro-economic trends, industry trends, and new business opportunities.
Technical & Communication Skills:
- Technical: Proficiency with collaborative office platforms (e.g., Google Suite) and Customer Relationship Management (CRM) tools (e.g., Salesforce). Working knowledge of SAP is a plus, and developing competency in SAP is required.
- Communication: Excellent organizational, written, verbal, listening, and presentation skills.
Personal & Professional Attributes:
- Self-starter who is self-motivated, operates with a sense of urgency, and can work and succeed independently.
- Strong organizational, analytical, and planning skills.
- Ability to solve practical problems and handle concrete variables in situations with limited standardization.
Travel & Transportation:
- Frequent regional travel and minimal overnight travel are necessary.
- Requires reliable transportation, a current driver's license, and minimum state-required liability insurance.
