Senior Business Analyst Healthcare

Job Summary:

The Senior Business Analyst will provide expert support and analytical services for the ePrescribe initiative within the Patients Before Paperwork portfolio. This role focuses on enhancing clinical workflows and improving connections between patients and healthcare providers via secure digital solutions. The position requires extensive experience in electronic health-related projects, healthcare information systems, and medication workflows to drive effective implementation and modernization of care delivery across the health system. Responsibilities:

• Support and analyze activities related to the ePrescription and medication initiatives.
• Contribute to the Medication program integrated project plan (IPP).
• Define and validate requirements for medication workflows through stakeholder engagement.
• Support prioritization of medication-related requirements.
• Contribute to project status reporting and develop process documentation.
• Participate in working groups related to medication projects and programs as needed.
• Support the technical design of the ePrescribing solution.
• Manage projects or programs within matrix organizational environments.
• Collaborate effectively with stakeholders, resolve conflicts, and coordinate tasks.

Required Skills & Certifications:

• Minimum 5-7 years of business analyst experience in electronic health-related projects, preferably with clinical software systems.
• 5-8 years of experience defining and implementing health system business requirements.
• 4-5 years of experience with Healthcare Information Systems and data workflows.
• 4-5 years of experience with medication, pharmacy workflows, and associated business processes in hospitals, patient admissions, and health records.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills, including stakeholder engagement, presentations, and active listening.
• Experience managing projects or programs in matrix organizational environments.
• Strong collaboration and conflict resolution skills.

Preferred Skills & Certifications:

• Undergraduate degree in Health, Computer Science, Engineering, Business, or related discipline or equivalent experience.
• Knowledge of medication workflows and health system business implementation and deployment projects.
• Experience liaising with customers and stakeholders, focusing on customer service, issue resolution, and risk management.
• Experience working in politically sensitive environments and across diverse organizational cultures.
• Working knowledge of privacy policies and legislation including HPPA, FIPPA, PHIPA, and Health Information Custodian requirements.
• Experience with provincial support models and requirements gathering.

Special Considerations:

• Up to 3 days onsite work may be required, subject to hiring manager's discretion.
