What would you do as a Warehouse Associate & Delivery Driver

As a new Warehouse Associate & Delivery Driver at Eastern Industrial Supplies, Inc., you will start each day by preparing shipments and ensuring that all products are accurately packed for delivery. Your role involves loading and unloading trucks, safe operation of a forklift and other equipment, meticulously checking inventory for accuracy, and maintaining a clean and organized warehouse environment. You will also navigate local routes, delivering supplies to our customers with a strong focus on safety and punctuality. Communicating effectively with team members and clients will be essential as you address any concerns and solve logistical challenges.

First and foremost, strong organizational abilities are crucial, as you'll be managing inventory and ensuring accurate shipments. A keen eye for detail will help you double-check orders and maintain quality standards.
Warehouse & Material Handling:

• Receive and inspect materials from Motor Freight Carriers, UPS/FedEx, and customer returns.
• Accurately pull and stage orders for shipment using forklifts or order pickers.
• Ensure items are packaged securely and labeled correctly.
• Complete shipping documentation and system entries while maintaining high quality standards.

Delivery & Driving:

• Load and secure deliveries on Eastern vehicles for safe transport.
• Deliver orders to local customers and other Eastern Distribution Centers.
• Maintain real-time communication with supervisors via phone & GPS.
• Inspect and ensure proper working condition of delivery trucks.
• Safe driving record required

Good communication skills are vital for effectively collaborating with team members and providing excellent customer service during deliveries. A commitment to safety and integrity will guide your actions daily, while a positive attitude and a willingness to learn will make you an invaluable team member. Training for forklift driver certification, safety, delivery driving, and everything else you will need to be successful at Eastern.


Requires a good driving record and a DOT medical card (we will assist with getting a card).
