Senior Digital Product Owner (FinOps)

Opportunity OverviewAt Edward Jones, you will join a mature FinOps team and serve as a trusted advisor to technology, engineering, product, and finance leaders. As a Senior Digital Product Owner, you will lead FinOps strategy, forecasting, optimization, cost allocation, tooling administration, and governance across cloud, AI, and infrastructure services. Partnering with multiple stakeholders, you will improve cost transparency, influence investment decisions, and drive accountability through scalable financial management practices and actionable insights that support business and technology outcomes.What You Will Do:Define and execute the FinOps product roadmap, delivering capabilities that improve cost transparency, financial accountability, and technology investment decision-making across cloud, AI, and infrastructure services.Collaborate closely with FinOps analysts, analytics engineers, product teams, engineers, and business stakeholders to align priorities, remove obstacles, and achieve shared financial management, optimization, and technology investment goals.Lead forecasting, budgeting, cost allocation, showback/chargeback, and governance activities to strengthen financial stewardship and accountability.Drive optimization strategies through consumption analysis, commitment management, and data-driven recommendations that maximize the value of technology investments.Deliver executive reporting, KPIs, dashboards, and insights that support strategic planning, investment decisions, and value realization tracking.Advance FinOps maturity across the organization by championing best practices, governance, and financial management capabilities for cloud, AI, and emerging technology services.Position RequirementsRequired QualificationsBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Finance, Accounting, Data Analytics, or a related field, plus 5-7 years of experience in FinOps, technology finance, cloud cost management, or a related disciplineStrong knowledge of FinOps practices, including cost optimization, forecasting, allocation, governance, and showback/chargeback methodologiesExperience with FinOps tools such as Cloudability or CloudHealthExperience managing cloud commitments, including reservations and savings plansExperience analyzing cloud billing and usage dataFamiliarity with Azure cloud financial management and governanceStrong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to translate complex financial and consumption data into actionable insights and executive-level reportingProficiency with Power BI, Excel, or similar analytics and reporting toolsStrong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to build consensus and drive outcomes across cross-functional teamsPreferred QualificationsFinOps Certified Practitioner (FOCP) or FinOps Certified Professional (FCP) certificationKnowledge of Technology Business Management (TBM) and service costing principlesMulti-cloud experience across Azure, AWS, GCP, and/or OCIExperience with SQL, Microsoft Fabric, data modeling, reporting automation, or similar technologiesFamiliarity with emerging FinOps practices related to AI, SaaS consumption management, and FOCUS standardsFamiliarity with cloud financial management best practices across additional cloud providers beyond AzureCandidates that live within a commutable distance from our Tempe, AZ and St. Louis, MO home office locations are expected to work in the office four days per week.Company DescriptionJoin a financial services firm where your contributions are valued.
