About This Role
We are looking to hire two reliable, kind, energetic people who LOVE children - and who want to work as part of an amazing childcare center team! The positions are full time, Monday - Friday from 8:30 am - 5:30 pm. We are looking for assistants for both our older infant and our older toddler classrooms.
- Pay is dependent on experience and education.
The Neighborhood Learning Center serves children from infant through 5th grade and we are an active, friendly, FUN place to work!
- In 2024 AND 2025, we were the WINNER of Best of Loudoun for Best Child Care Center and we have been nominated for 2026!
- Almost half our staff have worked here over 5 years!
- We are also a Subsidy Provider and a member of VQB5!
- Supervise children: Provide constant supervision during all activities, including playtime, transitions, meals, and nap time.
- Assist with daily routines: Help with basic needs like diapering, handwashing, and preparing/serving meals, depending on the age of the children in the classroom.
- Implement lesson plans: Assist the lead teacher in preparing and carrying out daily educational activities and lesson plans.
- Communicate: Maintain good communication with parents, guardians, and other staff members regarding children's progress and any concerns.
- Support individual needs: Provide individual attention to children and help support their individual needs.
- At least 18 years old
- Willing to learn and be trained
- Enjoys working as part of a team
- Reliable transportation
- Able to bend, twist, sit on the floor, and lift up to 30 pounds
- Energy and enthusiasm, and a sense of fun!
