Position: Emergency Room Registered Nurse (RN)
Location: Wrangell, AK
Job Type: Permanent, Full-Time
Shift: Nights

Compensation & Incentives

• Base Salary: $99,000 – $128,000/year (based on experience)
• Geographic Differential: +$25,000/year
• Sign-On Bonus: $25,000
• Relocation Assistance: Up to $10,000

Total Compensation Potential: Up to $150K+ annually

Job Summary

The Emergency Room RN provides high-quality, patient-centered care in a fast-paced emergency/acute care setting. This role requires strong clinical judgment, independence in decision-making, and the ability to respond effectively in critical situations.

Key Responsibilities

• Deliver comprehensive emergency nursing care to patients of all ages
• Assess, monitor, and respond to rapidly changing patient conditions
• Perform clinical procedures and administer medications
• Make independent clinical decisions during assigned shifts
• Supervise and delegate tasks to CNAs/Techs
• Maintain accurate documentation and patient records
• Ensure compliance with infection control and safety protocols
• Collaborate with interdisciplinary teams for optimal patient outcomes

Patient Population

Care across all age groups:

• Neonates to geriatrics

✅ Requirements

• Graduate of an accredited nursing program (ADN or BSN)
• Active RN license (any U.S. state)
• • Must apply for Alaska RN license before start
• BLS, ACLS, and PALS (or obtain within 6 months)
• TNCC preferred (required for ED nurses)
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs and work in high-stress environments

Experience

• No experience required (New grads welcome)
• Preferred: ER, acute care, or long-term care experience
