Medical Surgical Unit - Travel Registered Nurse

Shift Details 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM Experience Requirements 24 months of experience with 3 months worked in the last 12 months. 36 months of Medical Surgical Unit experience with 12 months worked in the last 3 years. Experience with CPSI is preferred. License Requirements Candidates must have a New Mexico license or compact license (required for submission). Other Requirements This role will require floating to multiple units. Local & travel allowed. No current placement allowed at Program: Medical Solutions Plus Program – Artesia General Hospital. Pre‑employment modules may be required; please upload any certifications or health documents to your profile to expedite onboarding. References: at least one reference must be from the same unit/specialty as the job you’re applying to. Proof of identification required. Required Skills & Experience Must have 3 years of MS‑Tele experience. Ability to do drips. Must be able to read and interpret tele. Preferred Skills & Experience LTAC experience preferred. PCU/Stepdown experience preferred. Ability to maintain intubation preferred. Special Requests & Flexibility The manager will ask for an ideal schedule, but travelers are asked to be flexible and help fill gaps in permanent schedules. The manager will try to accommodate requests; however, the facility will not sacrifice staff schedules to accommodate a special requested schedule. Unit Details Medical/Surgical/PCU patient population. No ICU in the hospital; if needed, patients transfer to a higher level hospital. Patients can be very ill and on drips and have invasive monitors. Shift & Scheduling Every other weekend. May be asked to go in the holiday rotation. 7 days maximum time off. Floating Requirements Depending on competency, nurses may be called upon to work in PCU within the department. References & Credentials 1 Charge/Lead reference required from within the last 12 months. 1 reference required from within the last 3 years. Complete certifications: ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support) and BLS (Basic Life Support). License Type: Registered. License State: NM. Job Details Job Type: Travel.
