Cook/Prep Cook PositionLegends Global, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Cook/Prep Cook position at The Hampton Roads Convention Center.Compensation: $17.00 hourlyJob SummaryResponsible for prepping and preparation of food as directed and performing any cooking, baking, butchering required and performs any and all duties in the kitchen. The tasks assigned must be completed quickly and efficiently while still abiding by necessary guidelines that will ensure quality standards are met.CompensationCompetitive salary, commensurate with experience.Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesInclude the following. Other duties may be assigned.Adhere to Health Department and ServSafe regulations.Prepare food products as directed by recipe and/or supervisor while maintaining strict adherence to standards and specifications.Complete all assigned production priorities daily.Maintain the cleanliness of the work area according (including but not limited to refrigerators, counters, tables, storage areas, etc.)Inform supervisor of any shortages or equipment malfunctionsKnowledge of food quality, utilization, storage, rotation and consistency.Demonstrates practical understanding of kitchen sanitation.Performs other related duties as assigned by supervisorSupervisory ResponsibilitiesThis position does not have supervisory responsibilities.QualificationsTo perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
