ENGINEERING TECHNICIAN III

Job Description The Engineering Technician III performs assignments that are not completely standardized or prescribed, selects or adapts standard procedures or equipment, using fully applicable precedents, receives initial instructions, equipment requirements, and advice from supervisor or engineer as needed, performs recurring work independently. Pay rate: $20.87/hr Position is open until filled Benefits: Health, dental, vision, STD, LTD, Life Insurance, 401k, Holidays, PTO Work Model: Onsite/ Office-based Responsibilities Support the preparation of pre-installation, test, and checkout documents of all new AV equipment components and subcomponents. Support Cataloging and archiving software media included and/or created for AV equipment. Support the Installation of AV equipment components and subcomponents in locations specified in the IDP or as otherwise directed by the Government. Support equipment Configuration within the integrated AV system. Assist in the Identification any materials incidental to the integration task not provided. Assist in system testing in accordance with established test plan to ensure total operation and functional AV System regarding compatibility with interfacing/interacting systems, subsystems, equipment, and computer programs. Provide Troubleshooting and advise corrective action for maintenance and operational issues that may arise. Assist with the application of STIGS (Security Technical Implementation Guides) on associated system AV Components. Support Integration of AV switch matrix in NIWC identified spaces. Integrate and configure AV management software suite within identified systems. Test AV equipment and switch matrix plans for NIWC identified systems. Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides to all AV solutions. Qualifications Must have a High school diploma or equivalent GED and three (3) years in installation/integration experience. Must have a valid driver’s license and reliable transportation. Must have a TS/SCI clearance. Must be willing to work extended hours including weekends and holidays as required. Must be a US citizen.
