Director of Project Delivery

Are you passionate about real estate? Do you thrive in fast-paced settings? If so, Fidelity Real Estate is seeking a Director of Project Delivery. This senior role is a key member of Fidelity’s Design and Delivery team, responsible for leading a multidisciplinary project team comprising internal collaborators, external partners, designers, consultants, contractors, and other vendors. The position requires deep expertise to manage all phases of projects with varying levels of complexity, ranging from interior enhancements to critical infrastructure projects.

Responsibilities

• Ensure project budgets and scopes align with Fidelity’s business objectives and establish controls to guide projects to completion on time and within budget.
• Identify problems proactively and implement solutions, presenting risks and planning for short- and long-term solutions throughout the delivery process.
• Lead the real estate project delivery process across Fidelity Investments locations, including entitlements, design and planning, budget and schedule development, permitting, construction, and commissioning.
• Partner closely with multiple departments, including workforce planning, space planning, leasing and transactions, facilities and operations, engineering, security, technology, and others.
• Prepare and deliver comprehensive presentations to senior leadership throughout the project lifecycle, covering design concepts, budgetary considerations, construction planning, and change‑management strategies.
• Lead a team of project managers and demonstrate a proven record of leading cross‑functional teams across various business units.
• Establish successful regional partnerships with architects, engineers, consultants, and contractors; manage third‑party project delivery resources and track performance.

Skills and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in architecture, interior design, engineering, construction, construction management, or related field (preferred).
• 10+ years of experience leading the design and construction of complex projects.
• 4+ years of experience overseeing direct reports, setting expectations, goals, and managing performance and career growth.
• In‑depth knowledge of construction, including site, ground‑up, interiors, and technology‑focused projects.
• Knowledge of leasing and transactions, including lease negotiation, landlord work letters, and tenant allowance/reimbursable processes.
• Travel within the U.S. as needed.
