Overview Our 12‑month Nurse Residency program is a transition‑to‑practice program that educates, mentors, and supports new graduate nurses as they move from student to professional nurse. The program will begin October2026. Resident Responsibilities Develop clinical judgment to quickly recognize changes in patient condition and the urgency of a clinical situation. Cultivate excellent communication skills to engage with colleagues and support patients. Participate in cohort experiences that promote peer and professional socialization and strengthen professional commitment. Learn didactic content tailored to new graduates from professional nursing organizations. Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities Leadership skills. Effective communication skills. Initiative and independent judgment. Ability to handle stressful environments. Qualifications Graduate of an approved nursing program. Current Georgia registered nurse license. BLS certification required. Bachelor's degree preferred. Advanced specialty certification, if applicable. Experience New graduates from a nursing program are eligible.
