Description

American Traveler seeks a Radiation Therapist with MA license (if applicable) and 1+ year of experience for a hospital radiation oncology department working primarily on linear accelerators.

Details

• Hospital-based Radiation Oncology department, primarily working on accelerators
• Day shift schedule, 5x8 hours, Monday through Friday, no weekends or holidays
• May float primarily to University campus, but also to Memorial, Fitchburg, and Marlborough locations
• Uses treatment units including ARIA, TrueBeam, Varian 21 ex/ix, Varian Trilogy, and Vision RT
• Treats conditions such as benign brain tumors, craniospinal cases, gynecomastia, keloids, and prostate cancer with seeds/fiducials
• Utilizes IMRT, external beam therapy, stereotactic radiosurgery (SRS), and total body irradiation techniques

Requirements

• MA license required if applicable
• Minimum 1 year of experience as a Radiation Therapist required
• BLS and ARRT (T) certification required
• TrueBeam Linear Accelerator experience preferred
• Experience with CBCT/kV/mV imaging, CT simulation, and beam modifying/positioning preferred
• Knowledge of radiation safety and billing for treatment types and devices

Additional Information

• Responsible for simulation of treatment sites and pretreatment planning
• Scrubs or business casual attire with lab coat required
• Accepts local candidates within a 75-mile radius at the same bill rate
• Returning staff must have a 12-month separation from the health system
