Description

American Traveler is hiring a night-shift RN for a Med/Surg/Telemetry Oncology unit requiring IL and IA RN licensure plus Med/Surg, telemetry, and oncology experience.

Details

• Med/Surg Oncology unit in a Level 1 trauma center hospital
• Patient population includes medical, oncology, and neuro cases
• Night shift, 12-hour shifts (6:30 PM-7:00 AM), 3x12 schedule
• Every other weekend required
• No on-call requirements
• EPIC EMR used
• May be required to float within the same discipline across local campuses

Requirements

• Active IL RN license required at time of consideration
• IA RN license also required, or proof of application for IA single-state or compact license
• BLS (AHA) certification required
• Minimum 2 years of Med/Surg and Telemetry experience required
• Oncology experience required
• EPIC EMR experience required
• Valid driver's license required for consideration
• Completed skills checklist within 1 year of consideration required
• One supervisory reference required, from within 2 years of employment/contract

Additional Information

• Provide professional and clinical nursing care as part of an interdisciplinary team
• Must reside outside a 50-mile radius of the facility
• Holiday coverage required, with travelers expected to work 2 of 3 winter holidays (Christmas, New Year's, Thanksgiving)
• Limited time-off requests permitted during peak holiday periods
• Candidates previously employed by the facility within the past 12 months may not be eligible for consideration
