About the Position

Job Title: RN - Labor & Delivery Profession: RN Specialty: Labor & Delivery Duration: 13 weeks Shift: Night Hours per Shift: 12 Experience: Minimum of 2 years License: RN License Certifications: BLS, ACLS, NRPAWHONN or NCC-EFM Must-Have: - Minimum of 1 year current acute care hospital Labor & Delivery experience - BLS, ACLS, and NRPAWHONN or NCC-EFM certifications Description: This travel RN position is located in a labor and delivery unit. The unit consists of 17 beds and is staffed by 56 personnel. Day shift typically includes 1 charge nurse, 5-6 RNs, and 1 OB scrub tech. Night shift includes 1 charge nurse, 5-6 RNs, and 1 OB scrub tech. Patient ratios range from 1:1 to 1:3, which may vary with patient acuity. Equipment used includes EFM systems, Doppler, and Novii, with Meditech/CPN for EMR. Common procedures performed include labor, C-section, PIT administration, magnesium drips, intrauterine resuscitation, and cerclage placement. Ideal candidates will possess strong teamwork and communication skills. Exceptional patient experience skills are essential for this unit. New equipment and technology enhance the working environment. The staff boasts a wealth of experience, fostering a collaborative atmosphere.
