Travel Nurse RN - Ms/Tele - Medical Surgical / Tele

Minimum experience: 1 year; 1st timers are accepted

Patient population: Adults to geriatrics

Certifications required: BLS

General skills and work setting requirements: All potential MS, MS Tele diagnoses. Float required to all MS, MS/Tele units within the hospital

Ratio/census: 1:5-6

Unit systems: Epic (required), Pyxis, SBAR

Scrub color: Navy blue

RTO: MAX 7 days

Weekends: Every other weekend (average 6 weekends in a 13-week contract)

Floating: Required; possible to float to sister campus (Piedmont Augusta Summerville) which is approximately 3 miles down the road

Call requirements: None

Holidays: If one major holiday falls in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work it. If two major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work both of the holidays. If three major holidays fall in his/her assignment period, the traveler is expected to work two of the holidays. Major holidays are listed below:

• New Year's Eve and Day: Sunday, December 31 & Monday, January 1
• Memorial Day: Monday, May 27
• Independence Day: Thursday, July 4
• Labor Day: Monday, September 2
• Thanksgiving/Black Friday: Thursday, November 28 & Friday November 29
• Christmas Eve and Day: Sunday, December 24 & Monday, December 25

Compliance: Full compliance required to start on time; if not compliant in time the push back is 2 weeks due to bi-weekly orientation schedule.
