Senior Payroll Analyst

Senior Payroll AnalystFloQast is looking for a Senior Payroll Analyst to own payroll for our US and Canada employees. You'll be the in-house expert on our HRIS, UKG Pro (UltiPro), run our bi-weekly and off-cycle payrolls, and help us clean up and improve how payroll works in UKG so there's less manual effort and fewer workarounds.You'll also coordinate with the third-party providers who handle payroll for our international teams, and work closely with HR, Benefits, and Accounting. This is a hands-on role for someone who is comfortable working independently, taking ownership of processes, maintaining clear documentation, and driving improvements to create more efficient and scalable workflows.This role has a requirement of working in office three days per week, which may be subject to change based on team and business needs, as determined by the department leader. Please note that this requirement is subject to ongoing review and may be adjusted in the future.*Visa sponsorship is NOT available at this time.What You'll Do:Process multi-state US and Canada payroll accurately and on time, including bi-weekly payrolls, off-cycle payments, and manual checksServe as the in-house expert for UKG Pro payroll and Workforce Management Dimensions, including configuration, troubleshooting, and working with UKG supportReview and simplify our current UKG setup, and replace manual workarounds with sustainable, well-controlled processesWrite and maintain clear payroll procedures and process documentation so that payroll can be run by someone else when neededAct as primary point of contact for our international payroll providers (UK, Australia, Germany, India): review inputs and outputs, reconcile results, and make sure employees are paid correctly and on timePerform and or support the reconciliation of payroll to the general ledger with Accounting each cycle, and support audit and compliance requestsMaintain strong payroll controls, including approvals, access, and separation of dutiesRecord and process employee changes, including leaves of absence, salary changes, and reporting changesMake sure new hire and termination data flows correctly from HRIS into payrollManage state tax registrations and ongoing tax filings, and keep employee tax profiles accurateWork with Benefits and HR Business Partners on deductions, open enrollment, and other payroll-related processesWork with the HRIS Manager to get the most out of UKGHandle sensitive and confidential information with discretion and professionalismHelp train and back up team members as the payroll function growsPerform other duties and special projects as neededWhat You'll Bring:5 to 7+ years of hands-on payroll experience, with at least 3 years processing payroll in UKG Pro (UltiPro)Experience processing multi-state US payroll and Canadian payrollExperience supporting or coordinating international payrolls with outside providersExperience in a growing company with 700+ employees across multiple countriesComfort running payroll independently, including when something goes wrong mid-cycleExperience documenting processes and improving or cleaning up existing payroll setupsStrong understanding of payroll tax, compliance, and internal controlsBS/BA in Accounting, Business Administration, or a related field preferredCPP preferredStrong Excel skills; proficient with Microsoft Office and G-SuiteStrong attention to detail and the ability to work under tight, recurring deadlinesClear written and verbal communication, with a collaborative, helpful attitudeHigh integrity and a track record of protecting confidential informationA sense of ownership and pride in getting it rightThe base pay range for this position is $90,000- $140,000. Compensation is not limited to base salary.
