Key Responsibilities:

Partner with field operations, project management, estimating, accounting, sales, marketing, and executive teams to identify opportunities for process improvement through AI and automation.

  • Software Integration: Assist in connecting AI solutions and large language models (LLMs) with existing construction platforms.
  • Data Analysis & Reporting: Analyze company data to help generate predictive insights, performance dashboards, and automated reporting.
  • Training & Adoption: Champion AI literacy across the company by creating simple user guides, conducting training sessions, and helping non-technical staff use prompt engineering effectively.
  • Guardrails & Best Practices: Assist leadership in promoting responsible AI usage that aligns with the company’s data security and governance standards.
  • Tech Scouting: Stay ahead of the curve by researching emerging AI tools and proposing innovative use cases for commercial construction.

Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in Python and SQL, with a solid grasp of basic software development principles and APIs.
  • Commercial construction industry experience is required, or equivalent experience working with construction software and workflows. Familiarity with contractor operations, project management, estimating, or field processes is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with Procore or Sage is a major plus, but the ability to learn industry-specific software quickly is required.
  • Exceptional communication skills with the ability to explain technical AI concepts to field personnel and executives alike.
  • Portfolio: An internship, personal project, or GitHub portfolio demonstrating practical application of AI/automation tools.

Success Measures:

  • Successfully launch at least 2–3 AI or automation workflows within the first 6 months that directly eliminate repetitive manual data entry.
  • Demonstrate measurable user adoption and positive feedback from internal teams using your developed AI assistants.
  • Identify and execute process improvements that result in verifiable time savings for project teams.
  • Establish strong working relationships across departments, becoming the "go-to" technical resource for operational problem-solving.

Compensation:

  • Competitive salary commensurate with education, experience, and demonstrated AI capabilities as well as a comprehensive benefits package, and a collaborative, team-oriented environment.
