Medical Assistant/Lab Tech

We care. You belong. Job Summary Community Clinic is seeking a Medical Assistant for our Advanced Health and Wellness location in Fayetteville, AR. This is a full-time, M-F position with no nights or weekends required. The schedule will me Monday-Thursday 7:30 AM - 5:00 PM Essential Job Functions Maintains patient flow during clinic so as to assure prompt service for patients. Obtains vital signs, measurements and laboratory tests accurately, as per protocol. Obtains chief complaint and reason for visit using excellent listening skills. Maintains exam room supplies and cleanliness for optimal efficiency. Assists as requested by provider in procedures and examinations within guidelines of certification and/or training. Translates written and verbal communication between patient and providers, nurses or ancillary staff, as requested by either the patient or staff and as skills allow. Adheres to applicable regulatory guidelines and laws, including but not limited to HIPAA/HITECH, CLIA, HRSA, NCQA PCMH and OSHA. Role Specific Essential Skills/Competencies Knowledge of medical office procedures and patient care techniques. Proficiency in medical record systems and basic computer applications, such as Microsoft Office. Understanding of medical terminology and infection control practices. Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to provide excellent patient service. Demonstrated time management and organizational abilities in a fast-paced environment. Critical thinking skills for analyzing and resolving clinical and administrative challenges. Ability to perform care according to age-specific competencies. Required Qualifications HS Diploma or equivalent required Registered Medical Assistant (RMA) or Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) required.
