Lab tech

Bachelor's degree or higher in Chemical Engineering, Chemistry, Material Science, Mechanical Engineering or other related fields is preferred. Ability to gather, understand, and interpret chemical, physical and mechanical data. Demonstrated ability to partner with other team members in product development programs. Must be able to work as a team member and also independently on multi-task assignments. Knowledgeable in Power Point, Word, Lotus Notes, Excel, Microsoft Project and Statistical Analysis Software is preferred. Conducts all R&D laboratory work in a safe manner including the use of proper Personal Protective Equipment (PPE), adherence to site safety practices, use of laboratory equipment, 5S, etc. Assists in maintaining project time-lines. Provides support for various projects assigned by Engineers and/or Supervisor. Employs basic problem solving skill-sets to overcome project bottlenecks and maintain project deliverable dates. Collects and organizes data in a coherent format. Communicates basic observations regarding data and/or experimental outcome. Expected to train other Technicians regarding equipment operation and/or test procedures. Ability to perform routine tests and operate application equipment safely and efficiently. Ability to identify abnormalities in collected data and/or project work. May take on equipment ownership and responsible for maintaining safe operation of the assigned equipment.
