Systems Engineer (Combat) - Early Career

Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a Systems Engineer (Combat) – Early Career. Responsibilities Contribute to the design, analysis, implementation, test, and integration of mission‑critical software. Develop fire control, track filtering, guidance, engagement planning, and coordinate system alignment algorithms through design trades and simulation. Responsible for developing requirements using SysML diagrams and constructs. Qualifications Basic Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Systems Engineering, Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Mathematics, Physics, or a closely related field. Proficiency with software development and programming languages (Java, C++, MATLAB, Python) and version control (Git). U.S. citizen required; secure a government clearance; position located at a facility requiring special access. Desired Skills: Proficiency with Model‑Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) tools such as IBM Rational Rhapsody or Cameo. Experience with Agile workflow (Sprint planning, Scrum meetings, JIRA). Experience with IBM Doors or Jazz. Proficient with Unix or Linux. Knowledge of systems‑engineering testing methodologies, systems integration, and systems design and requirement documentation. Security Clearance: Secret. The position requires a U.S. citizen and a government security clearance. Candidate will work onsite at a Lockheed Martin facility. Schedule: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week. Compensation range for New Jersey: $61,500 – $116,455.
