- Conduct evaluations for pediatric, adult, and geriatric clients utilizing standardized assessments and observational methods.
- Craft individual treatment plans that address specific communication, cognitive, or swallowing goals.
- Deliver personalized speech therapy focusing on language, fluency, voice, and swallowing techniques.
- Collaborate closely with an interdisciplinary team including occupational and physical therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure an integrated approach to care.
- Provide guidance and education to patients and their families to enhance progress outside of therapy sessions.
- Occasionally assist with inpatient evaluations and interventions to ensure comprehensive patient care.
- Maintain precise documentation in accordance with state, federal, and organizational standards.
- Engage in continuing education and collaborate with colleagues to stay at the forefront of the field.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if not currently ASHA-certified.
- Active state licensure for a Speech Language Pathologist .
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- Basic Life Support (BLS) certification must be obtained within 30 days of hire.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methods for all age groups, with a solid grasp of developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills to engage effectively with patients, families, and multidisciplinary teams.
- Ability to customize therapy approaches to meet the cultural and linguistic diversity of patients.
- Strong clinical reasoning and problem-solving skills.
- Comfortable navigating electronic medical records and documentation practices.
