Cybersecurity System Engineer Posting Date: 15 May 2026 City: Roma Location: Roma, IT, 144 Contract Type: Permanent Division: Operating Engine Level of experience: Intermediate RINA is currently recruiting for a Cybersecurity System Engineer to join its office in ROME within the Operating Engine Division. Mission We are seeking a Cybersecurity System Engineer combining strong system administration expertise with specialized cybersecurity skills across Linux infrastructure, Active Directory, Docker, and secure Kubernetes platforms. This role requires both the technical depth of infrastructure management and the security mindset needed to deliver hardened and resilient systems through vulnerability management and container platform security. Key Accountabilities Linux system administration and security hardening (RedHat, AlmaLinux, SUSE, Ubuntu). Active Directory administration with a security focus, including Group Policy hardening, auditing, and privilege management. Hands-on vulnerability management experience across systems and containers (Nessus, OpenVAS, Trivy). Container Platform Security Docker administration and secure container environment management. Secure Kubernetes cluster deployment and administration through Rancher. Implementation of container security controls, including network policies, runtime protection, and secure configuration practices. Security Support Activities Support security audits and infrastructure security assessments. Contribute to the continuous improvement of infrastructure security practices. #LI-MM2 Education Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Engineering or Information Systems Qualifications Mandatory Technical Requirements Expert Linux system administration with security hardening experience. Advanced Active Directory administration including security best practices. Hands-on Docker administration in production environments. Hands-on vulnerability management experience across systems and containers (Nessus, OpenVAS, Trivy). The following skills will be considered a plus: Experience configuring network devices including switches and firewalls. Automation using Ansible and Terraform. Experience with AWS and Azure cloud environments. Virtualization platform administration experience (VMware vSphere, Proxmox VE).
