Operating in a safety-conscious environment, you will receive the full backing and resources needed to drive procedural improvements, optimize line efficiencies, and advance along a structured management track.What You Will Be Doing (Daily Responsibilities)Team Leadership & Motivation: Direct, mentor, and motivate an off-shift production crew, managing daily line assignments and optimizing headcount for efficiency.Material & Resource Coordination: Coordinate raw ingredient delivery and resource allocation to streamline material flow and achieve daily throughput targets.Food Safety & Compliance: Uphold stringent food safety protocols and regulatory benchmarks, maintaining 100% compliance with GMPs, HACCP, and SQF guidelines.Continuous Improvement: Initiate tactical lean manufacturing projects to eliminate line bottlenecks and improve Overall Equipment Effectiveness (OEE).Shift Handoff Management: Act as the primary liaison between 1st and 2nd shift teams to ensure seamless communication and zero lost productivity.Shift Administration: Handle labor tracking logs, performance reviews, conflict resolution, and daily production metric reporting.What We Are Looking For (Requirements & Qualifications)Verifiable Supervisory Experience: 3+ years of leadership experience supervising production lines, blending operations, or packaging teams in a regulated environment.Food Safety Fundamentals: Solid working knowledge of food safety standards, GMP compliance, and quality operations.People-First Leadership: Collaborative communication style with a proven track record of mentoring teams, de-escalating floor friction, and building positive culture.Technical Skills: Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, Outlook) or localized ERP systems for scheduling and performance tracking.Local Commute: US Citizen or Green Card holder residing within a dependable 45-minute daily commute of the Greater Jefferson, WI area.Preferred Technical Assets (Bonus Skills)Union Environment: Prior experience managing workflows and leading production teams within a unionized plant.Advanced Safety Certifications: Official HACCP or SQF practitioner certification.Lean Manufacturing Knowledge: Hands-on experience applying 5S, Kaizen, or Root Cause Analysis (RCA) on automated packaging lines.
