Registered Respiratory Therapist (RRT) - Travel Job

We're hiring an experienced Respiratory Therapist for a local healthcare provider where you'll be responsible for assessing, planning, implementing, and evaluating the treatment, care, and needs of patients with breathing disorders.

Minimum Requirements:

• Associate or bachelor's degree from a Respiratory Therapy or Cardiopulmonary Science program.
• Current state license in good standing with the State License Board (NC licensure required).
• RRT or CRT credential required.
• Minimum 2 years of Respiratory Therapy experience; department requests at least 2 years of experience in respiratory therapy.
• BLS, ACLS, PALS, and NRP required (Resource Team requirements).
• Experience in critical care settings, including CVICU, ED, progressive care, and NICU experience required. Experience with adult care and NICU patient populations preferred.
• Proficiency with ventilators and department equipment: Servo ventilators (including I, U, and Airs), Trilogy, ResMed AirCurve, HiFlow, Airvo, NOXbox, and bubble CPAP.
• Experience using EPIC or similar EMR preferred.
• Willingness to float regionally as needed within scope of practice is required.

Assignment Details

• Facility type: Hospital.
• Shift: Days.
• Shift hours: 07:00-19:00 (12-hour shifts).
• Schedule pattern: 3x12.
• Patient types: Adult care and NICU (no pediatric).
• Orientation: New Employee Orientation plus 2 days departmental orientation.
• Department support: Respiratory Care leadership and unit staff available.
• Floating: Required to float per regional needs; may include multiple hospitals and freestanding EDs within the region. Travel time between facilities will be paid if floating mid-shift.
