The candidate will assist in developing, implementing, and monitoring Individualized Behavior Plans (BIPs), attend student progress meetings, and provide physical care and hygiene support. The position requires physical strength and mobility for de‑escalation, emergency response, and restraint when needed. Essential Duties Assist with direct observation of students and supporting staff on implementation of behavior plans and related goals Collect, record, and summarize data on observable student behavior Implement Positive Behavioral Interventions and Supports (PBIS) and evidence‑based interventions Support students individually and in groups at various locations, helping with instructional and behavior goals When advised, interact with parents, community agencies, educators, and service providers Attend team meetings to provide ongoing feedback related to student behavior Intervene in emergency situations involving behaviors that could cause harm to self or others Participate in ongoing training required by the school district Assist classroom teachers in reinforcing classroom and school‑wide expectations to promote a positive learning environment Render first aid in compliance with contemporary safety methods Report student and staff injuries to the appropriate administrator and supervisor Perform all related duties as assigned Preferred Qualifications Knowledge of urban public schools and commitment to SFUSD’s instructional leadership Strong analytical and systems‑thinking skills to interpret data for goal setting Ability to work across multiple functions within a complex organization Experience planning, organizing, and using resources to achieve objectives Quick learner who adapts in a fast‑paced environment Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail Proactive, solution‑focused work ethic with a strategic perspective Data analysis skills and ability to translate data into actionable steps Effective interpersonal and relationship‑building skills with senior staff and colleagues Strong written and verbal communication for explaining complex processes Experience with HR business practices and confidentiality Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and Google Workspace Knowledge, Abilities and Skills

• Understanding of effective interventions for behavioral needs and ability to implement Behavior Plans and teaching materials.

• Proficiency with tablets, computers, and data collection tools.
