We are currently seeking a Data Scientists / Extraction to join our team in Gurgaon, Haryāna (IN-HR), India (IN).

Job Title: Senior Data Scientist / Document Extraction Specialist
Job Summary:
We are seeking a highly experienced Senior Data Scientist / Document Extraction Specialist with 9+ years of experience in building intelligent document processing and data extraction solutions. The ideal candidate will have deep expertise in NLP, Document AI, OCR pipelines, and LLM-based extraction and classification, with strong hands-on experience in Python. This role requires proven ability to extract structured data from unstructured financial documents such as fund notices, capital calls, and NAV statements using advanced AI/ML and document understanding techniques.
Key Responsibilities:
•    Design, develop, and optimize intelligent document processing solutions for extracting structured data from unstructured financial documents
•    Build and enhance NLP and Document AI pipelines using spaCy, Hugging Face, and LangChain
•    Develop and maintain OCR pipelines using tools such as Textract and Tesseract
•    Work with Vision-Language Models (VLMs) and document understanding techniques to improve extraction accuracy
•    Implement LLM-based extraction and classification workflows for financial documents
•    Extract, normalize, and validate key data elements from fund notices, capital calls, NAV statements, and related financial documents
•    Design data preprocessing, post-processing, and quality validation frameworks for extracted output
•    Collaborate with product, engineering, and domain teams to define extraction rules, taxonomy, and business logic
•    Improve model accuracy through prompt engineering, model tuning, annotation feedback, and pipeline optimization
•    Handle semi-structured and unstructured document formats including scanned PDFs, images, and text-heavy documents
•    Develop reusable Python-based components for document parsing, classification, extraction, and validation
•    Evaluate and compare OCR, NLP, and LLM approaches for performance, scalability, and cost efficiency
•    Support deployment, monitoring, and continuous improvement of extraction pipelines in production environments
•    Create technical documentation for extraction logic, model behavior, and processing workflows
•    Mentor junior team members and contribute to AI/ML best practices across the team
Required Skills and Qualifications:
•    9+ years of experience in Data Science, NLP, Document AI, or intelligent document processing roles
•    Strong hands-on experience in Python
•    Deep expertise in NLP and Document AI
•    Experience with spaCy, Hugging Face, and LangChain
•    Strong experience building OCR pipelines
•    Hands-on experience with Textract and Tesseract
•    Experience working with VLMs for document understanding and extraction
•    Strong knowledge of LLM-based extraction and classification
•    Proven experience extracting structured data from unstructured financial documents
•    Strong understanding of financial document types such as fund notices, capital calls, and NAV statements
•    Experience with text preprocessing, entity extraction, classification, document parsing, and validation workflows
•    Ability to work with scanned, low-quality, and layout-complex financial documents
•    Strong analytical, debugging, and problem-solving skills
•    Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams in enterprise environments
Preferred Qualifications:
•    Experience in financial services, asset management, private equity, or investment operations
•    Familiarity with prompt engineering and evaluation of LLM-driven extraction systems
•    Experience with cloud-based document AI or OCR services
•    Exposure to model deployment, MLOps, and production monitoring
•    Knowledge of data validation, confidence scoring, and human-in-the-loop review workflows
•    Experience with table extraction, layout analysis, and document classification frameworks
