Receiving Specialist/CoordinatorOptim Surgery Center is seeking a part time Receiving Specialist/Coordinator for our Savannah location.Job RequirementsUnloads and checks in incoming freight per established protocols to ensure system integrityCommunicates any receiving discrepancies to Purchasing for resolutionDelivers and restocks incoming ordersSupports and assists the Inventory Coordinators in cycle and periodic inventories, bin maintenance, min/max levelsConsolidates any supplies kept in multiple bin locations whenever possibleCoordinates any out bound shipping requirements for the locationPerforms other duties as assignedQualificationsHigh school graduate or equivalent.Previous experience and a general understanding of medical supplies and equipmentKnowledge of general supply chain logistics and concepts is a plusAbility to work in a generally unsupervised environmentAbility to work under high paced, stressful situationsPhysical DemandsRequires full range of body motion, including handling and lifting patients, manual and finger dexterity, and eye-hand coordination. Frequent standing and walking or other means of mobility for extended periods of time. Lifts and carries items weighing up to 50 pounds. Requires normal visual acuity and hearing. Requires exposure to germicidal agents and anesthesia gases. Requires working under stress in emergency situations or during irregular hours.Working ConditionsMay be exposed to communicable diseases, toxic substances, and other conditions common to a clinical environment.Annual Training RequirementsIncludes all Safety, Infection Control and E-Learning course completion.
