Farmington, New Mexico Description American Traveler is hiring an experienced RN for a Cardiology/PCU position requiring IMC or Cardiology experience and charge nurse capability. Details Cardiology and Intermediate Care (IMC) unit within a Level III trauma center 24-bed unit caring for adult to geriatric patients Day shift schedule from 0700-1930 with three or four 12-hour shifts per week Patient ratios of 1RN:3 for IMC patients on active titrating drips, 1RN:4 for standard IMC patients, and 1RN:5-6 for Med/Surg patients Common diagnoses include STEMI, NonSTEMI, stroke, post cath, and ETOH Uses standard cardiology monitoring equipment including telemetry and T-1 monitors, IV pumps, and crash carts Charts in Cerner EMR Floating required to units of need, typically PCU, Medical, Surgical, or Nephrology No on-call requirements Requirements Active RN license (NM or Compact) required Current certifications: BLS, ACLS (American Heart Association), and TNCC Minimum 1 year of experience required, 2 years IMC or Cardiology experience preferred Associate Degree in Nursing or higher required Charge nurse capability required Additional Information Provide direct nursing care to cardiology and intermediate care patients with a focus on cardiac monitoring and titrating drips Reports to the RN Manager Located in Farmington, NM within the San Juan River Valley region These details are based on information provided by the facility and may include inaccuracies or be subject to updates.
