Rock Spring Veterinary Clinic
Thank you for your interest in the Veterinary Assistant position at Rock Spring Veterinary Clinic. We are seeking a dedicated individual who thrives in a fast-paced team environment; communicates professionally; and is eager to expand their knowledge of general practice companion animal care and veterinary medicine.
Essential Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Reliable transportation
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds regularly
Minimum of 6 months experience working in a veterinary clinic or similar setting
Flexibility to work rotating weekend shifts
Preferred Qualifications:
2 years or more of veterinary assisting experience
Experience with veterinary practice management software such as Avimark or equivalent
Knowledge of companion animal behavior and handling, including exotic mammals and reptiles (a plus)
Basic understanding of veterinary terminology, pharmacology, and calculations
Familiarity with canine and feline vaccination protocols, laboratory procedures, venipuncture, and caring for hospitalized or surgical patients
