Summary THIS IS AN INDIANA NATIONAL GUARD TITLE 5 EXCEPTED SERVICE POSITION This position is in the Excepted Service under the authority of Title V, P.L. 114-328, Sections 932 and 1084 (FY17 NDAA) This position is part of the IN JFHQ CAJMTC MCCO, Indiana National Guard under Position Description Number PD# T5687000. - Supervise, plans, coordinates, and directs daily activities of the Range Operations Section consisting of; Range Scheduling, Range Technician/Specialists, and Range Firing Desk.
- Develops internal management goals, objectives, policies, procedures, standards, and milestones for Range Operations.
- Integrates emerging technology, such as Range Facility Management Support System (RFMSS), Environmental Management System (EMS), Installation Status Report (ISR), and Operational Range Inventory to coordinate, balance, and de-conflict training.
- Performs other duties as assigned.
- Males born after 31 December 1959 must be registered for Selective Service.
- Federal employment suitability as determined by a background investigation.
- May be required to successfully complete a probationary period.
- The employee will be required to take a drug test.
- Participation in direct deposit is mandatory.
- This position is INDEFINITE NTE 24 months, with possible extension up to 60 months, and permanent potential.
- This position is designated as Essential Personnel and may be subject to duty in preparation for, or in response to, a state emergency or disaster declaration.
- Must be able to obtain and maintain the appropriate security clearance of the position.
- May occasionally be required to work other than normal duty hours; comp time and/or overtime may be required.
- Ability to establish effective professional working relationships with coworkers and customers, contributing to a cooperative working environment and successful accomplishment of the mission.
- This position is covered by the Domestic Violence Misdemeanor Amendment (30 Sep 96) of the Gun Control Act (Lautenberg Amendment) of 1968.
