This Position Provides a full range of therapeutic services including assessment, treatment planning and therapeutic interventions in an interdisciplinary environment consistent with the position's qualification, professional practices and ethical standards. Demonstrates accountability for the contribution to program development, quality improvement, problem solving, and productivity enhancement in a flexible interdisciplinary fashion. What you will do in this position: Provide direct physical therapy to patients upon referral by a physician/advanced practice provider Provide developmentally appropriate care/treatment for the following patient population: Infant (Birth-1 year); Child (1 through 12 years); Adolescent (13 years through 17 years); Adult (18 years to 65 years); Geriatric (over 65 years) Evaluate patients using special physical therapy tests and measurements such as muscle testing, functional ability, range of motion, and neurological testing Develop physical therapy treatment plans and administer treatments designed to relieve pain, develop or restore function and maintain maximum performance using physical means such as, but not limited to, therapeutic exercise, manual therapy and modalities Document appropriate patient treatment data, such as patient progress notes, evaluation reports and discharge summaries Instruct patients and family on in-home programs Supervise/monitor patient's plan of care when carried out by a physical therapist assistant Represent the department and exhibit effective communication with the interdisciplinary team Assist in providing clinical supervision of physical therapist assistants, and students in their duties Education Qualifications Required - Doctoral Degree from an accredited therapy program and performed the required clinical internships satisfactorily Skills and Abilities Ability to utilize therapy equipment an outpatient rehabilitation setting to provide treatment and procedures Licenses and Certifications Physical Therapist - South Carolina Department of Labor, Licensing and Regulation licensed by the state of South Carolina Board of Physical Therapy Examiners Required Basic Life Support Certified - American Heart Association Required Physical Demand Medium-Heavy Physical Demand Our client is an equal opportunity employer (EOE) and does not discriminate against employees or applicants for employment on the basis of race, color, creed, religion, age, national origin, disability, marital status, veteran status, gender, genetic information, familial status, or any other legally protected status. #J-18808-Ljbffr
